A theology of glory will seek glory apart from suffering.  A true Christian theology of glory will seek glory through suffering.  Not ours.  Christ's.  Jesus showed his glory on the Mount of Transfiguration.  Peter, James, and John saw it.  The full deity of Christ was manifested to them.  But seeing isn't enough.  To participate in Christ's glory is another thing!  That sent Jesus to the cross to face shame, suffering, and death.  There is our true glory as Christians!  You may read or listen to "A True Theology of Glory," based on St. Matthew 17:1-9, read on January 29 at congregations of First Confessional Lutheran Parish and preached at Faith Lutheran Church in Wylie, Texas.

What is God's will?  Well, what does he say?  He isn't saying?  Then you cannot know, can you?  But if he is saying and he is saying it about Jesus, then you can know for sure.  You may read or listen to "The Will and Word of God in Christ," based on Matthew 8:1-13 and preached on Sunday, January 22, at the congregations of First Confessional Lutheran Parish.

I recently attended the annual North Texas Free Conference at Faith Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas. I presented this paper: Justification as the Center of Christian Theology.  Everything God says relates to this topic.  How God makes a sinner into a saint is at the heart of everything God teaches us.
